I met Ed at his hotel, and we decided that we didn't want/need to do a big Lunch, so we walked just a couple of blocks to El Enano, an open-air Sandwich Shop.
They also have a list of Juices that they will whip up as long as your arm. I had the El Enano Sandwich, which has Chorizo, a Hot Dog, Bacon, and Cheese and maybe an Egg on it. To drinl, I had them make me some Cantaloupe Juice. Ed had a Pork Sandwich.
The food is very good there, and the whole thing, including the Juice and a Soda for Ed, came to around $9.
Amazingly, that kept us going until Dinner time. We were wandering aimlessly, and finally decided to eat at T'anta in Miraflores. It's a lower-end restaurant owned by the guy that has Astrid Y Gaston and Panchita, but it is by no means low-end.
We started with the Appetizer assortment.
By 'we,' I mean that Ed had half the Papa Rellena, and I ate the rest. From the top, there is a Causa topped with what we would call Chicken Salad, the Papa Rellena (Stuffed Potato), two mini-Anticuchos (Beef Hearts on a Stick), a Talmale Verde, and some Papa a la Huacaina.
For our Main Courses, Ed had the Lomo Saltado (he gets that a lot), and I had a Pastel de Choclo, which is ground Corn, with a layer of Meat... think a Corn Brownie, but not Chocolate.
I went crazy, and for Dessert, I had a Chocolate-Lucuma thingy. It was wonderful.
That's it. We gambled the rest of the night.
