Birthday Festivities Begin

Friday, April 24

Still hadn't found my camera -- I have it now, so next week, the photos will improve.

I ate a bunch of Bananas on the way to work, and then some not Frozen Grapes at the office.

Jeff and Larry took me out for Lunch for my Birthday, and I chose -- surprise! -- Peruvian food. We headed to Saxsay on Commercial Boulevard.

We started by sharing some Scallops Parmesean and a Mixed Seafood Cebiche. It was very popular.

For our Main Courses, I had Cau Cau de Mariscos (Mixed Seafood in a not spicy Sauce), Jeff had Jalea (mixed Fried Seafood), and Larry had Aji de Gallina (Shredded Chicken in a Yellow Pepper Sauce). We all cleaned our plates.

Great. Then, at the office, they had a little party for me featuring Cake with Fruit and gifts that had Hurricane Logos on them... what could be better?

And I also got a Hurricanes Hat and some non-'Canes Socks. I love Socks and Hurricanes items.

On the way home, I stopped at El Punto and picked up some Filets. I broiled them, and that was that for the day.

Here's my steps.

Thursday: More Fish

Thursday, April 23

I'm way behind on the Blog, so these will be quick.

Turkey Roll-Ups with Mustard for Breakfast. Then Strawberries during the day. They were on sale.

My friend Jim likes to Fish. He & Kiera were going camping for the weekend, so I was in the right place at the right time. Wednesday night, he gave me some Snapper and Seat Trout. I broiled the whole mess o' Fish.

Absolutely awesome, especially the Snapper.

Here's my steps.

Double Pho Wednesday

Wednesday, April 22

It's Birthday Week, yo -- stop hating on the Soup!

Some Oranges in the morning.

For Lunch, Jeff wanted Soup. Who am I to argue. We headed to Pho Hoa, never considering my Dinner plans. I had my usual -- the number 66 with Dumplings and Pork. Extra Large. To mix things up a bit, I had it with the Rice Noodles instead of the Egg Noodles.

Delicious. The one thing I don't like about Pho Hoa is that they use plastic chopsticks, and the Noodles are a little harder to manage than when I use wood ones.

For Dinner, Lonnise chose: Pho Hoa. They should name a booth after me.

We started by splitting the Spring Rolls.

Just to be crazy, we both had a Number 63 for Dinner. That Soup has Shrimp, Pork, fake Crab and Chicken. We get it without the Fish Balls. Just to be crazy, Lonnise got it with the Rice Noodles and I did a same-day taste test and ordered the Egg Noodles. We're nuts, I tell you.

I decided that I like the Egg Noodles Better. This Soup was very good, but I issed the Dumplings. They probably have a number that covers all of my wants, hopes and desires, at least in respect to Soup.

Here's my steps.

Watermelon & Fish

Tuesday, April 21

Still using my cellphone camera.

A Bowl of Watermelon in the morning before leaving the house. Not only is it cheaper in season, but it tastes better.

I stopped at Albertsons after Dinner on Monday and picked up some stuff for Lunch. So today, it was going to be Talapia and Spinach. I emptied the Spinach into a large Bowl, added just a little water and some spices, and then I put the fish on top and nuked the whole thing.

The Spinach cooks down to nothing, and the Fish was pretty much done. I had to do it a total of six minutes -- four the first time, and two more for the center piece of Fish.

More Watermelon in the afternoon at the office.

For Dinner, I had two pieces of Salmon in the refrigerator. I broiled them and that was my Supper.

One more Bowl of Watermelon while I surfed the Internet, and that's it. Here's my steps.

Sea Watch

Monday, April 20

I'm still using my phone for pictures. I need to find the camera.

I didn't eat before Weight Watchers, and after, Lonnise and Vivian escorted me to Sea Watch Restaurant to help kick off Birthday Week. Yeah, I'm going to be 23 years old on Sunday.

It's a birthday tradition for me & Lonnise. We both signed up for their email club, and they send you a $30 coupon every year. So we go twice a year, no matter what. Vivian turned out to be a happy bonus.

We started with Soup for me & Lonnise. Viv watched while we had their Conch Chowder -- a cup for Lonnise and a Bowl for me.

I usually get the Lobster Bisque, but what the heck -- I went crazy and switched it up.

For our Main Courses, I stood the course and had my standard: Pealla.

I just love it here. Rice, Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Crab, Sausage, Chicken and Fish. Delicious.

Vivian, in a surprise move to us, ordered the Steak Salad. Vivian clearly loves taking Blog photos. She plans ahead, and had checked the menu on the internet earlier in the day. That's why she LEADS at Weight Watchers, and we pay to go. Lonnise had a Crabcake. Both of the ladies loved their dishes, as did I.

No Coffee, no Dessert. That was it. Here's my steps.

Sunday!

Sunday, April 19

Somehow, I didn't get around to doing any real eating today.

After my morning walk, I stopped at Albertsons and -- FINALLY -- Watermelon is on sale... $3.88 a bowl.

I had two Bowls.

And somehow, I'm still not hungry. I bought Salmon and just didn't cook it.

Here's my steps.

More Chicken Saturday

Saturday, April 19

The Chicken with Black Bean Sauce was so good yesterday, I stopped at El Punto after walking with Lonnise and bought some more Cutlets. This time, I added Mushrooms and Salsa and Tomatoes with Okra to the Chicken and Black Beans.

There was enough for two plates like the one above. I spaced it out a little.

Later, I bought some Oranges at Save-A-Lot ($1.79 per bag), and had two bags over the rest of the evening.

That was it for the day. Here's my steps.

Chicken with Black Bean Sauce

Friday, April 17

I was busy at work today, and didn't get a chance to eat anything.

On the way home from work, I stopped at El Punto (formerly Andrews Meat Market), and bought some thin-sliced Chicken Cutlets. I ransacked my pantry and broke out a cans of Spinach and Mushrooms, and started a new jar of Black Bean Sauce.

It was great, and there was a lot of it.

So great, I had a second plate.

That was it. Here's my steps.
